About QuizSpark

A no-personality-quiz, no-signup, no-autoplay-video nostalgia trivia arcade.

Why we exist

QuizSpark started because every other 90s/2000s nostalgia trivia site is the same: bloated personality quizzes ("which Tanner family member matches your zodiac sign?"), four real questions buried under twelve sponsored slideshows, autoplay video ads, and a mandatory email signup before you can see your "score." We hated it.

So we built the opposite. Every QuizSpark quiz is factual recall — multiple choice, one right answer, scored at the end. Every page is rendered server-side so it loads on any device, including the laptop your aunt is using. There's no signup, no tracking cookie wall, no autoplay anything.

What we cover

QuizSpark is laser-focused on 1990 through 2009. That's a deliberate choice. We want every question to land for the same group of people — millennials and elder Gen Z who grew up on Saturday morning cartoons, TGIF lineups, the boy band wars, the Pokémon Red/Blue era, GoldenEye on N64, MySpace, Limewire, and the iPhone launch.

The quizzes are organized into four mega-categories: 90s & 2000s Television (sitcoms, dramas, reality TV, animated primetime), 90s & 2000s Movies (blockbusters, animated features, cult comedies), 90s & 2000s Music (pop, boy bands, hip-hop, alternative rock), and Childhood Memories (toys, snacks, video games, and the texture of growing up in that 20-year window). Each category has 50+ themed quizzes ranging from "Friends Trivia" to "Bratz Trivia" to "Crystal Pepsi-era Soda Trivia."

Where the questions come from

We use two sources. First, we hand-curate a large pool of 90s/2000s nostalgia trivia ourselves — questions that are unmistakably era-locked and impossible to answer correctly without having actually been there. Second, we pull live questions from the Open Trivia Database (OpenTDB) for the four matching mainstream categories: Film (11), Music (12), Television (14), and Cartoons & Animations (32). Every quiz mixes both sources to balance era authenticity with broader pop-culture knowledge.

What we don't do

We don't do personality quizzes. We don't do "what's your spirit Pokémon" — there's no right answer to that. We don't do tabloid clickbait headlines like "ONLY a TRUE 90s kid can pass this — and the last question STUMPED everyone!" We don't gate scores behind email signups. We don't require JavaScript to take a quiz. We don't track you across the web.

What we do is build a pleasant, fast, factually rigorous trivia arcade that respects your time and your nostalgia.
